The 401 Foundation is a charitable foundation that provides grants of between £3000 to £5000 to small grassroots organisations that build confidence and self esteem along with tackling mental health and self development issues. Our charity is UK based and supplies grants nationwide.
The 401 Foundation also puts on organised events throughout the UK that generate the funding for the foundation. All profits from these events go straight into our grant pot and are then handed out to support real people and real causes throughout the UK.
Why not be part of one of our events? With our partners Etchrock, Nicework and Virtual Runner UK, you can sign up to both live and virtual events. Loads are coming your way, so there is sure to be one that suits your sense of adventure.
Our ethos is fun, inspiring, challenging and above all else charitable. We believe everyone in the UK should have a chance to lead a positive life with opportunities and adventure. Life doesn't always take a simple path, like mine:
On September 1st 2015, I embarked on a challenge of a lifetime that saw me run 401 marathons in 401 consecutive days around 309 different locations on UK mainland. The project generated £330,000 for tow anti bullying charities, raised the awareness around bullying and mental health in the UK and won numerous national and local awards. It inspired a nation with thousands of people getting involved and achieving things they never dreamed possible.
The 401 Foundation is the legacy and one that we will take to new heights, so get involved and lets have some fun!
